ITIL® News – Findings of the V3 Syllabus Review Published

The ITIL® V3 Foundation and Foundation Bridge syllabuses have been undergoing a thorough review through September and October of this year. The review has been part of an annual improvement process for all qualifications within the ITIL scheme, and involved an international panel of Accredited Training Organizations from all continents, as well as other stakeholders.

The APM Group has played an active part throughout the review process due to our representation on the Syllabus Advisory Board, in order to ensure that the views and concerns of our ATOs on the qualifications were fully considered.

The review process included a survey to all users of the ITIL scheme, which received almost 500 respondents. The survey found that:

  • The examination format is well accepted
  • The basic learning objectives would benefit from longer courses
  • The improvements while relatively minor in scope will help course delivery and the customer experience.

You can find full details of the review's findings and the recommendations adopted by the Qualification Board at the ITIL Official Site.
