Change Management Open Centre Examinations

We are currently offering a small number of Change Management examinations at our Australian office in Canberra, ACT. Please complete the Change Management Open Centre Application Form and return in to us to reserve a place.

Our exam dates fill up very quickly. We keep all information on this page as current as possible but please understand that we cannot guarantee availability for a certain date. If you submit a booking form for a date that has become full, we will contact you to discuss further options.

Recommended Reading

The 2nd Edition of the Change Management manual, Making Sense of Change Management by Esther Cameron and Mike Green was published in January 2009. The changes between the first and second edition have no effect on the Change Management syllabus, exam or sample paper.

The practitioner exam syllabus is supplemented by material from the People Alchemy website, an online repository for information on all management disciplines. Material used for the practitioner qualification is provided to candidates, who also get one years free membership to the site when they enroll for the qualification.  

Terms & Conditions

Once a booking is confirmed, please comply with the exam date. Please note the following apply to changes made to your exam booking:

  • You are allowed to reschedule the exam date once, at no cost, as long as the change is made a minimum of 15 working days in advance of the exam date.
  • If you reschedule the exam date a second time, outside the 15 working days notice period, an administration fee of $100 (incl GST) will be charged.
  • An administration fee of $100 (incl GST) will also be charged if you cancel your exam outside the 15 working days notice period.
  • If you cancel or re-schedule your booking within 15 working days of the exam date, you will be liable to pay the full exam fee.
  • The exam is non-transferable and can not be re-sold.

Expectations of behaviour from open centre candidates

When attending an open examination centre, please ensure that you are polite and courteous to the venue staff, APMG invigilator and other candidates. Please remember that there are several examination sessions throughout the day so should you arrive early, please check an examination is not in progress before entering the room and do not create excessive noise near the room in case this disrupts other candidates. You will be asked to leave the examination if your behaviour is abusive or disruptive.

From the Airport

  • The office is approximately 25 minutes by Taxi from the Airport
  • The AirLiner bus service operates between Canberra City and the airport, Monday to Friday,
    every 30 minutes - www.airliner.com.au

From the City

  • The office is approximately 15 minutes walk (North) from the Jolimont Bus Station
  • Parking is limited but there may be places available on Masson St or Girrahween St (about 5 minutes walk).

Lunch - If you take the foundation and practitioner exam on the same day please note that the office will be closed during the two exam sessions. There are various cafes etc within walking distance.

On the Day of Your Exam

  • You must arrive in good time - at least 30 minutes before the start time
  • Please bring a BLUE OR BLACK pen for writing your answers to the Change Management Foundation exam
  • No calculations will be necessary, so calculators are not required
  • No late arrivals will be allowed into the exam room, all candidates are responsible for arriving at the exam on time and no excuses will be permitted. A further exam fee will be payable for a new exam booking if you are late.

Important Message to All Candidates

If you are thinking of taking a training course we strongly recommend that any training you receive is through an Accredited Training Organisation (ATO).

Only ATOs and their affiliates have licences to offer training courses that incorporate official OGC trademarks, brands and copyright material.

These ATOs have been fully accredited by the APM Group, who are the official accreditor on behalf of the Office of Government Commerce (OGC). The accreditation process involves a rigorous assessment of the organisation's management systems, course materials and trainers, assuring the quality of training provided.

Organisations offering training who do not appear on the above list, or are not affiliated to an ATO, may be in breach of copyright law. Please do not support illegal use of copyright material.
